MUTUAL DEPENDENCE - GALLERY PRESENTATION

This work was created using point cloud data captured at random from a series of scenes depicting queer partnership. An attempt to visually represent an answer to the requirement of providing evidence for a relationship of “mutual dependence” to appease the UCSC Family Housing Authority. This short interactive work presents five three-dimensional tableaus phasing in and out of view as a traversable memory rhizome with location based sound. Environmental audio is captured from three points in Santa Cruz County known for homeless encampments - the woods, beach, and highway, coalescing at center as indistinguishable white noise. 

“Correspondence” is a custom three-foot pyramid controller constructed from reclaimed plywood sheeting made to interface with the work.
